Frequently Asked Questions

Clarity to help you gift yourself with the right service to match your needs

01

How Do I Get Started?

If you are feeling ready to begin a journey of self discovery, you can call, send a text, or send an email to WholeheartedHolisticHealing@gmail.com. After you contact me, we will have a (free) initial consultation phone call or Zoom meeting lasting 15-20 minutes. During this call we will schedule your intake session and discuss your needs and concerns. Prior to intake you will receive documents to review and sign that we can review together at intake. At intake, after going through an assessment, we can begin to create a plan for your treatment together.

02

What is the first session
(intake appointment) like?

Intake sessions can be challenging as you are embarking on something brand new. Knowing what to expect can help ease nervousness around our first meeting. You can expect to have space to tell me what brought you to treatment with me, review paperwork, discuss guidelines for therapy services, and to answer a few questions about yourself and your current needs. Know that you are in a safe space to share, or not share, what feels right for you at intake.

How does Sliding Scale work?

Wholehearted Holistic Healing does not currently accept insurance, but has options for discounted prices to make services more accessible. During our first phone consultation, before your initial intake session, if the price for service is not within your ability at this time, we can discuss a potential lowered fee and options you may have for a discount. Sliding Scale price is based on your annual income.

You may also qualify for a discount through your insurance if you are able to submit a SuperBill.

What is a
“Good Faith Estimate”?

It is policy and part of the "No Surprises Act" for private practice therapists to send an estimate of therapy cost to you for your insight. This document that would be sent to you prior to beginning treatment is only an estimate of how much could potentially be spent on mental health services for a 6-12 month duration. This is not a bill and is only for your budgeting purposes.

Although I do not accept insurance at this time,
you may have out-of-network benefits in your insurance plan
that can reduce how much you spend on services with me.
If your insurance accepts superbills,
you have potential to be partially reimbursed (typically 20-50%!)
for the sessions we have.
You would pay for sessions up front, I would provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance, then you would receive a reimbursement check in the mail in about 6 weeks.
I can walk you through this process during our initial consultation for free, because I want to help make my services more accessible!
